Vaughniston's Ring Rebuttal and More ...

Last time we checked, the all-important finger on Jennifer Aniston's left hand was not buckling under the crushing weight of a garish, gargantuan sparkler. Still, a month after her rep first denied rumors that Vince Vaughn had coughed up $500,000 for a cornea-zapping, doorknob-size nine-and-a-half-carat canary diamond engagement ring, the jewel jabbering just won't stop.
People is the latest to jump into the fray, with a source telling the magazine that the low-key actor bought the bulky yellow bauble from jeweler Suzy Fabrikant while they were stumping for "The Break-Up" in Europe.
Not surprisingly, flacks for both stars "vehemently deny" engagement talk to the mag, which downplays the alleged rock as "just a little something" Vaughn picked out for Aniston.
But Jen's mouthpiece helpfully adds to Us, which recently claimed the undercover couple have been telling pals they plan to get hitched, "[Fabrikant] must be trying to get press because we know of no such ring. It is really rather a pathetic attempt to get attention -- shame on her!"
